The Blind Girl of PompeiI
The Blind Girl of Pompeii is a living document tumbling out of the mind of a man in search of meaning, free baklava, and a reliable way to identify a ripe watermelon.
In its finer moments it might be an experiment in emergent purpose. A gesture at an ill-defined wish–the kind one yearns to see fulfilled yet cannot articulate. A coin tossed absently into a fountain, a candle reflexively blown out atop a cake, a finger outstretched towards a shooting star.
In its weaker moments it may resemble the counter of a bakery near close. Stale goods that ought to have been pulled from public consumption and would have been were it not for their creator’s misplaced attachment.
The only guarantee I offer is that the words you’ll find here are sincere and my own, please enjoy.

Loam for the Languishing

– James Baldwin
